I'm a
portrait and figure artist based in Crawley, West Sussex. From an early
age art has been a huge part of my life. I was inspired by the work of
Michelangelo and Leonardo da Vinci, learning a lot about technical
drawing and the importance composition. I
have taken every opportunity to improve and perfect my skills through
education and personal artist studies to provide portraits and figures
that not only capture the likeness of the model but also the
personality and atmosphere that makes them who they are. I graduated
from the Northbrook College in 2006 with a BA (hons) in Fine Art. I
specialise in photo-realism with my focus being on capturing the
emotion, personality and atmosphere of my subject. I have a passion for
detail and lighting. My work has captured the attention of the local
press such as The Worthing Herald, The Argus and The Art of England
Magazine. One of my more popular pieces is my portrait of Tommy Cooper,
which has had a range of journalist interest. On the left is my portrait of Christopher Lee, painted in2006. |
